1991-92 New York Islanders  posted 9-13-06

Benoit "Benny" Hogue  - CCM Airknit, size 52. LOA from the Spirit of the Game.  Benny had his best year in 1991-92 with 75 NHL points. Overall Benny collected 222 NHL goals. Benny came over from Buffalo to NYI after only 3 regular season games into the 91-92 season, which is why this jersey shows a nameplate change, currently in researching we have not found who wore #33 before Benny. This style of Islanders jerseys is one of the most sought after style of Islanders jerseys because of the 75th and rare New York Islanders 20th anniversary patch. When any of these that hit the market they disappear right away.

Walt Tkaczuk - Stall and Dean mesh, size 52.  Cosby Tags in the collar and size tag, also the Stall and Dean dry cleaning tag and born on date of "9" meaning 1979. This is from Walt's last full season in the NHL, he plays in 76 games. Because of Walt being a Ranger fan favorite his jerseys never last on the hobby open market and rarely are they ever presented in the hobby for sale.

Overall the jersey shows that is was heavily washed, the numbers, letters and logo letters show nice puckering and crinkling. The photo's to the right are not claimed to be photo matches, but are from the 79-80 season and both show the fat sleeve numbers used during that season.

Circa 1972-73 New York Rangers  posted 9-13-06

Rod Seiling - Cosby durene knit, size 48. Cosby tag and size tag in the hem. Rod played defense for the Rangers from 1963 thru the 74-75 season. To the right is a photo from the 72-73 season with Seiling wearing the "A". With further research of this photo in my personal opinion I believe this is the jersey in the photo. The "A" is directly proportional to the letters in Rangers and in his right sleeve the #6 is perfectly folded as the same as the jersey, plus Seiling did not wear the "A" for very long.

Game Wear:  Played in Olympic Games  in 63-64 for Canada.

Right Sleeve - A few nice stick marks.
Left Sleeve - Some burns and light stick marks.
Front - Assistants Captains "A" sewn on.  Some nice pilling on the back of the collar. One nice team repair to the right of the "S". Another nice repair on the red hem. One slight cut on the hem.

Ken Dryden Game Used Stick - Canadien style wood stick.  Ken is a member of the Hall of Fame and used this stick at the end of his prestigious goaltending career.

Game Wear:

The stick has the Dryden name stamped on the shaft and a #2 and #9 above and below his name.  Thick heavy tape job at the butt end of the stick, typical of Dryden's sticks. The paddle itself is in great shape, with only some minor cracking and slight chipping at the heal of the blade. Overall the stick shows great game use and on the back of the blade you can see were it would rub up against the tops of his skate blades.

1992-93  Boston Celtics AIM # - 33494

Kevin McHale - Champion mesh size 46 with 3+ inches added.

Kevin McHale, Robert Parish and Larry Bird comprised arguably the greatest front court in NBA history. Of this trio, Kevin McHale had a great touch, arms that could reach the sky through Garden rafters and he was virtually unstoppable. He tallied 17,335 points, an amazing feat considering Parish had 23,334 and Bird 21,791. This road green mesh is from McHale's 1992-93 final season. The tail sports dual Champion labels, [size] "46" and the exclusivity/year/customization designator. The interior wide seam flap designates fabric content. All labels show acceptable wear. The oversized black armband at the zenith of the left stirrup memorializes the passing of legendary broadcaster Johnny Most. Overall, a quality representation with a unique mourning band differentiator.

Ulf Nilsson - Tibas knit mesh, size 52.

At the 1976 Canada Cup, he played exceptionally well for Tre Kronor and in a game against the USSR scored the decisive goal against Vladislav Tretiak. The most memorable game for Nilsson was the one between the Winnipeg Jets and the USSR in 1978 in Winnipeg, which the Canadian team won 5-3. 1989-90 New York Islanders posted 11-6-06

Bryan Trottier- CCM Airknit, size 52. Tags in the collar cut out. This was from his last season as an Islander before going to Pittsburgh. This jersey was probably worn towards the end of the season and shows light use. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1997.Trottier was a throwback. He was a defensively sound center man with the vision and instincts of a pure scorer. Over an 18-year National Hockey League career, he led his teams to the Stanley Cup six times, including four consecutive titles with the New York Islanders in the early 1980s. And his achievements went beyond team success. He was the winner of the Calder Trophy as the league's top rookie, the Art Ross Trophy as top scorer and the Hart Trophy as the most valuable player. Trott's, at his retirement, was the league's sixth-highest all-time scorer.

Early 1940's Minneapolis Millers

American Association  posted 11-6-06

St. Peter - Wilson wool flannel, size 40, it exactly measures to a 46. These Millers are the first I have ever seen and very sought after. . This Millers jersey was just recently uncovered at a local VFW garage sale, the jersey were handed down to the local VFW to be used by the local VFW team, but this jersey was never used by the VFW team hence why it survived all these years at the post. Its all intact and all original all the way down to the buttons. This is a road blue gray style.  Knowing how baseball teams recycled sets of jerseys to other seasons, this was probably worn by more then just St. Peter. Currently the players first name is not known. The Millers went to blue lettering with red trim on both their home and road uniforms sometime around 1930 and used them up until 1947 when they changed to the NY Giants colors.

Game Wear:

Front - No rips or tears or holes, everything is original, the name Millers is a beautiful red on blue felt, with 7 buttons. You can even trace at the waste were the jersey was tucked into the pants because the bottom is a more brighter color then the top, the top shows a nice shade of sun fading.
Back - The number on the back is red on blue felt, and there are just a few small red stains near the collar. 6 gusset armpit holes for venting.
Inside - Wilson sporting goods tag and Lowell & Campbell sporting goods tag next to it with the size tag next to that. The name Eaves is stitched into the collar on a felt patch.

1983-84 / 84-85 Pittsburgh Penguins  posted 1-6-07

Unknown - CCM mesh, size 50.

#3 Yellow Alternate - Norm Schmidt wears #3 during the regular season in 1983-84 and Doug Bodger wears #33 during the regular season in 1984-85, could Bodger have  worn #3 during the preseason 84-85 possibly, because in 85-86 Bodger does change to #3. There were a few CCM Gold Alternates that were worn during the end of the 1983-84 regular season. But the CCM Gold Alternates were mainly worn in the 1984-85 pre-season and I have not seen any physical evidence these CCM Gold Alternates were worn in the 1984-85 regular season.  There is no remnants of a nameplate ever being on this jersey which leads me to believe it was worn in the 84-85 Pre-season only with no factual evidence of who wore #3 for the Penguins in the Pre-season of 84-85.

Game Wear:

Right Sleeve - A few board burns and one major un-repaired hole. Some paint transfer.

1967-68 or 68-69 Dallas Blackhawks

posted 1-22-2010

Ken Brown - General Athletic durene, size 50. This jersey has not been in the hobby since the late 70's and was purchased directly from the grandfather of game worn jerseys Murf Denny. First year/ 2nd  year Dallas Blackhawk jerseys are very hard to find and to get a goalie #1 is even more rare. The jersey is dated by the Gunzos tag in the collar - Gunzo's in Berwyn had a fire in 1970 which gutted much of the interior. That summer, Wally moved to the River Forest location. This Gunzo's tag was before that fire, the last year this tag was worn was in 1968-69.  Gunzo's tags looked very different post 1968-69. What is interesting about this jersey, is that you can clearly see were a nameplate was on the jersey and also below the two "D's" was a small patch that was removed, which leads me to believe that this jersey after the 68-69 season was recycled during the era when Dallas was using nameplates on the back which would have been in the middle to late 1970's. Ken Brown wears #1 during the 1968-69 season. I can't find any records on who exactly wore #1 during the first year of 67-68 but Jack Norris and Bob Sneddon were the two goaltenders for the Hawks. This is a General Athletic Durene knit with the General Athletic tag in the hem.

Game Wear:

Front - Nice blood stains on the front, with a nice repair below the crest.
