This
jersey
came
from
the
personal
collection
of
Fred
Hucul.
A
Letter
of
Authenticity
accompanies
this
jersey
signed
by
Fred
Hucul.
Now
according
to
Hucul
this
was
his
jersey
he
wore
when
he
was
called
up
from
the
minors.
In
50-51
Hucul
played
in 3
games
and
Bodnar
played
in
44
games
out
of
70.
Two
other
players
could
have
also
worn
#12
that
year,
Red
Hamill
played
2
games
and
Ray
Powell
played
in
31
games
but
he
probably
wore
18.
In
the
next
3
seasons
Bodnar
was
the
only
one
to
wear
#12.
So
this
all
points
to
the
50-51
season,
even
though
Hucul
is
not
listed
in
the
Hawks
website
for
wearing
#12,
database's
have
been
known
to
be
wrong
and
there
is a
reason
Hucul
had
and
kept
this
jersey
all
these
years.
I
believe
he
wore
#12
and
it
was
not
recorded
correctly.

The

This
jersey
was
worn
as a
#25
player
unknown
and
also
worn
as a
#8
and
the
last
number
is
#5.
This
style
was
worn
with
this
tagging
between
65-66
and
68-69,
during
those
years
these
players
wore
those
numbers:
No
one
wears
#25
during
this
era,
which
I
think
was
the
first
number
on
the
jersey
according
to
wear
and
sewing
patterns,
so
if
the
jersey
was
issued
in
65-66
it
was
a
camp
jersey.
#8
was
worn
by
Camille
Henry
in
65-66
(although
in a
playoff
game
from
that
year,
he
was
wearing
a
60-61
to
63-64
Olympic
style,
not
General)
and
Red
Hay
wore
8 in
66-67.
In
67-68
#8
was
worn
by
Gerry
Goyer
in
and
68-69
it
was
worn
by
Jim
Pappin
the
whole
season.
Now
the
#5
looks
very
new
and
I
believe
this
was
added
in
the
70's
for
practice.
(thanks
to a
fellow
collector
on
the
research).
This
jersey
was
recycled
a

then
probably
worn

the

equipment

in
80-81
and
81-82
the
Sandow

were
slow
in

to
the

so
in
both
years
he
recycled
the
Coane

to
the
point
that
he
even
put

In
matching
this
against
several
other
known

of
the
Hawks
a
high
percentage
have
shown
nameplate
and
number
replacements.
Also
in
watching
old
games
on
VHS
you
can
clearly
see
the
Hawks
wearing
these
jerseys
in
80-81
and
81-82
because
there
is
no
printing
on
the
hems
like
the
Sandow
