Bob Blackburn - Wilson durene knit, size 46. Pittsburgh Sports shop tag in the collar. The Wilson tag was replaced by this tag,  you can see some white thread remains from the Wilson tag.  The Pittsburgh Sports Shop tags were used in the 70-71 and 71-72 seasons. This jersey was originally sold as a Dave Burrows 71-72, and later collector Casey Samuelson of PenguinsChornicles.com has researched it and its a 70-71 Bob Blackburn, I have looked at this research and concur with his findings. This jersey is all intact and all original, even the neck lace. LOA from the Spirit of the Game. The Penguins did wear names on the back in games in 70-71 and in 71-72 CBS had the Television contract to air NHL games and most team wore nameplates on the back for those game then removed them for none CBS games.  You can see were the CBS nameplate was on the back.

Blank - Rawlings durene knit, size 48. This jersey was obtained from a Penguins employee. This was an extra jersey given to the employee when he requested a game jersey. This is a probable second set because of the location of the Rawlings tag. Rawlings tag in the hem.

Gary Inness - Rawlings durene knit, size 52. The Penguins wore this style from 1974-75 through the 76-77 season. I have only seen about 5 of these in the hobby since 1976. From photo research the blue jerseys from the 74-75 season had two tone numbers, white on dark blue and some had nameplates, they also had white on the bottom of the hem as opposed to solid black. This jersey has no room for a nameplate to be above the numbers and Inness does not play in the 76-77 season hence the dating of 75-76. All original and all intact. LOA from the Spirit of the Game.

Game Wear:       

Kevin Stevens - CCM Ultrafil knit, size 54 .  This jersey was worn in the 91-92 Stanley Cup playoffs and it is video matched.  Bob Errey was sporadically injured during the playoffs and Stevens wore the "A". As the Finals started Errey was taken off the injured list and he decided to play. This jersey was ready incase Errey was not able to play and Stevens would have worn the "A", instead Errey wore the "A" for the only two Finals games played in Pittsburgh. There is the black sharpie signature of the number 25 written on the maska tag in the collar which is common amongst real Pens gamers.

Ron Francis - CCM Ultrafil Knit, Size 52.  The best way to describe this jersey is Killed. Number "10" written in sharpie on the CCM tag in collar.  I stopped counting at 60 team repairs.

Jaromir Jagr  - CCM  Airknit, size 52 . Year in marker on the back of the tag.  LOA from The Spirit of the Game and MeiGray and also from the Pittsburgh Penguins signed by Craig Patrick. #68 in black sharpie on the tag in the collar. On the back side of the tag is 94 written in black sharpie.

Player Unknown - CCM Ultrafil knit, size 54.  Light autograph by Mario Lemieux on the front that is almost faded away.

Mario Lemieux  -  Starter Ultrafil knit, size 56-R. Autograph on back in number 6. Captains patch on left shoulder. You can faintly see the 66 and "C" written in sharpie on the Starter tag in the collar.  This is a trade mark signature written in by the trainer of the Penguins. This jersey came from a Montreal Canadiens employee who received it directly from Mario Lemieux, this is stated in a Letter written from Lucie Favreau who has worked with the Montreal Canadiens in the past. This jersey was also dry cleaned by the Canadiens employee in the same manner that the Canadiens themselves dry clean their own jerseys, hence the very faint 66 and C and also the faint stick marks and the curling of the crest. The Penguins wore Starter Ultrafil's in the 1st set of the 96-97 season then switched to mesh jerseys for the 2nd set.
